Files you open in the tools are processed in your browser and are not sent to our servers. The site has no registration and no accounts. Analytics that uses cookies is only turned on with your consent.

What is collected automatically

Cloudflare hosts the site. Its servers see technical request data: IP address, browser and page address. This is needed for the site to load and stay protected from attacks. Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits without cookies and without identifying anyone.

Microsoft Clarity — only if you clicked “Allow”. Clarity records how the page is used: clicks, scrolling, navigation, errors, device and browser type, approximate country. Text on the page is hidden in recordings. Clarity sets cookies; the data is processed by Microsoft, including on servers in the USA. For visitors from Russia, Clarity is neither offered nor loaded; Cloudflare determines the country from the IP address.

If a conversion fails, the error code, file format and approximate file size are sent along with the analytics you allowed. File contents and file names are never sent.

What is stored on your device

Site settings, favourite tools and your analytics choice are kept in the browser’s storage. Libraries and neural network models are cached so they don’t have to be downloaded again. All of this stays on your device and is removed when you clear the site’s data in your browser settings.

Third-party services in specific tools

Some tools download models and libraries from Hugging Face, jsDelivr, unpkg and PyPI the first time they run. The video thumbnail tool loads the image from YouTube’s servers. File transfer finds the other device through public Nostr and STUN servers, while the files themselves travel directly between browsers. These services see your IP address and handle it under their own rules.

The speed test downloads and uploads test data to Cloudflare’s servers (speed.cloudflare.com), which see your IP address. Your test history is stored only in your browser.

Why and on what basis

Technical data is needed to run and protect the site — our legitimate interest. Clarity analytics helps us find bugs and make the tools easier to use; it only runs with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. We do not sell data or use it for advertising.

How long data is kept

Microsoft keeps Clarity data for no longer than 13 months. Cloudflare sets the retention period for technical logs. We do not store visitor data on servers of our own.

Your rights

You can withdraw your consent to analytics at any time — see below for how. The site has no accounts, so we cannot find a particular person's data by name or email; Clarity data is deleted automatically when the retention period ends. If you believe your rights have been violated, write to us and we will sort it out: [email protected]

The laws of your country may also give you the right to contact a data protection authority.

How to opt out of analytics

Click “Cookie settings” at the bottom of any page and choose “Decline” — Clarity will be switched off and its cookies deleted.
