These terms are the rules for using browserskit.com and its tools. By using the site, you accept them. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.

Who runs the site

The site browserskit.com is run by its owner (“we”, “us”).

What the service is

BrowsersKit is a set of tools that run right in your browser: converters, editors, calculators and more. Files you open in the tools are processed on your device and are not uploaded to our servers.

The exceptions are described in the Privacy Policy: some tools download models and libraries from third-party servers the first time they run, speech recognition from the microphone may be performed by the browser developer’s service, and file transfer sends files directly from one device to another.

The site has no registration and no accounts. Analytics is only turned on with your consent.

We keep developing the site: tools may change, appear or be removed.

What you may and may not do

Use the tools for any lawful purpose, personal or professional. You may not use the site to break the law or infringe the rights of others. In particular:

record other people only with their consent;
sign documents only with your own signature;
do not pass off generated test data as real in order to deceive anyone;
do not send malicious files through the site;
do not interfere with the site: no attacks and no mass automated collection of its content;
use other people’s songs with the vocals or music removed for personal practice, not for publication without the rights holder’s permission.

If you break these rules, we may restrict your access to the site.

Third-party services

Some tools rely on third-party services, for example Hugging Face, jsDelivr and PyPI (models and libraries), YouTube (video thumbnails), public Nostr and STUN servers (finding the other device for file transfer) and the browser’s speech recognition service. The full list is in the Privacy Policy.

These services operate under their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control them and are not responsible for their availability or operation.

Rights to the site and to your files

The site’s code, design and texts belong to us. Third-party components — libraries, fonts, models — are distributed under their own licenses, listed on the licenses page.

Open source licenses

We claim no rights to the files you process or to the results of processing.

You are responsible for having the right to process these files and to use the results.

Complaints about infringement

We do not store other people’s files: the tools process files on the user’s device, and file transfer sends files directly between users’ devices, bypassing our servers.

If you believe that content on the site itself infringes your rights, email us with the subject “Complaint”: [email protected]

Please include:

who holds the rights and to what: a work, a trademark or something else;
what on the site infringes those rights, and the address of the page where it is;
your name and contact details for a reply;
a statement that you believe in good faith that this use is not authorized and that the information in the complaint is accurate;
if you act on behalf of the rights holder, confirmation of your authority to do so;
your physical or electronic signature (for example, your full name).

We review complaints and reply within a reasonable time. If information is missing, we may ask you to add it.

The service “as is”

The site and the tools are provided “as is”. We work to make everything function correctly, but we do not promise that the service will always be available, will work without errors or will suit your task. Check the results before relying on them, especially calculations and documents.

Nothing in these terms limits the rights that the law of your country gives you as a consumer and that cannot be excluded by contract.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect losses, lost profits or loss of data arising from the use of the site or the inability to use it.

This limitation does not apply where the law does not allow it, for example in cases of intent or gross negligence, or of harm to life or health.

Work on copies of important files, not on the only copy.

Paid features

All tools on the site are currently free of charge.

If paid features appear, we will show the price, what it includes, and the terms of payment, cancellation and refunds before you pay.

Payments may be accepted by a payment intermediary; its terms will then apply as well.

Age

The site is not intended for children under 13. If you are a minor under the law of your country, use the site with the permission of a parent or guardian. Teenagers’ consent to analytics is covered in the Privacy Policy.

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. The date of the current version is shown at the top of the page, and we will point out significant changes prominently on this page.

Changes do not apply retroactively to anything you have already paid for.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Uzbekistan. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live.

These terms are written in English and Russian. On other language versions of the site they are shown in English; the translations of the page title and the language note are for convenience only. If the texts differ, the English text prevails.
